For Harkins Builders, the E-Landscape team completed landscape installation for the new Brightview Severna Park senior living community located in Severna Park, Maryland. The scope of this project, developed by The Shelter Group, encompassed landscape planting, planters, reforestation planting, bio-retention pond seeding, construction of a Zen Garden and synthetic turf putting green, site furnishings (including fountains and a fire pit), and hardscape (including decorative boulders, concrete pavers, flagstone steppers, and decorative stone). The landscape design for the project was completed by Red Sketch Landscape Architecture.
Because the property on which Brightview Severna Park is located lies in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed within the boundaries of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, it was required to meet stringent environmental requirements for stormwater control and reforestation. Much of the work completed by our crew was intended to restore the site in order to meet required percentages of forest on the property, and construct several bio-retention ponds for storm water catchment.
