E-Landscape to Transform Parking Space in Downtown Annapolis into Temporary Park as Part of PARK(ing) Day 2012

Davidsonville, MD September 20, 2012 –

Davidsonville, Maryland‐based commercial landscaping specialist E‐Landscape Specialty Solutions is
partnering with Richard Sweeney Landscape Architecture to participate in the global event PARK(ing)
Day in downtown Annapolis. PARK(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and
citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks. The mission of PARK(ing) Day is to
call attention to the need for more urban open space, to generate critical debate around how public
space is created and allocated, and to improve the quality of urban human habitat.

As part of the PARK(ing) Day events in Annapolis, E‐Landscape will be temporarily transforming a public
parking space in front of Tsunami Sushi Bar & Lounge on West Street in downtown Annapolis into a park
for locals, commuters and tourists to enjoy. This particular park will also serve as a demonstration site to
illustrate the many options available to maintain pervious surfaces.
